Notice to travelers arriving in Alaska

Traveling to Alaska

Travelers arriving into Alaska from another state or country must follow new protocols. Read the rules in the State of Alaska’s traveler information and learn more about being a COVID-conscious traveler in our health guidance for travelers and FAQ

Alaska has removed the quarantine requirement for travelers who can show proof of a negative molecular-based COVID-19 test result obtained 72 hours before arriving in Alaska. Travelers with a negative test within 5 days of arriving in Alaska will be retested at the airport and should minimize interactions with others until the results of the second test are available. Other travelers have the option to be tested on arrival (subject to test availability), or they may instead adhere to the 14-day quarantine.

Critical infrastructure workers may continue to travel under the guidelines of their company’s workforce protective plan on file with the State of Alaska.
