Garbage Utility

Solid Waste Site is located in Goose Creek on the South Thorne Bay/Kasaan Road.  Open to public Thursdays through Saturdays from 9 AM - 4 PM. With exception of State and Federal Holiday's
Call City Hall (907)828-3380 for information on rates.

RV Park

Nightly rate is $25.00 plus tax ($26.50 total).  Weekly rate is $150.00 plus tax ($159.00 total).  Monthly rate is $250.00 plus tax ($265.00 total).   Contact City Hall at (907) 828-3380 or email at reception@thornebay-ak.gov

The Streets and Roads Department is responsible for street's and road maintenance and construction

STREETS & ROADS

Emergency Medical Services Department

Emergency Medical Services Department is currently contracted with Klawock EMS (KEMS). Klawock EMS. There are EMT’s stationed within Thorne Bay, and a 911 dispatcher. Klawock EMS is notified for all EMS Calls and if Transport is needed, the Klawock EMS will transport.

Fire Department

The Fire Department consists of approximately 9 volunteers. IF you are interested in volunteering for the Fire Department, please contact the Fire Chief Jim Silverthorn, or the City Administrator at (907) 828-3380.

Village Public Safety Officer (VPSO)

The VPSO is an appointed position by the Haida/Tlingit Central Council.
