Full-Time Inter-Island Ferry Authority Deckhand Job Opening!!!!
The Inter-Island Ferry Authority is now accepting applications for a Full-Time Deckhand with rotating Night watch duties with full benefits. Position requires a 12-hour shift, 4 days on and 4 days off, good customer service skills, the ability to lift 70lbs, work outside in inclement weather and is based out of Hollis, Alaska. Duties include: customer service contact for passengers; vessel security; vehicle loading and unloading; line handling; emergency response; vessel cleaning; other duties as assigned. Merchant Mariner document and Marine Engineering experience preferred.
A TWIC card is required within 30 days of hire for this position. All applicants must pass a pre-employment drug test and will be subject to random testing throughout employment.
