FOR THE PURPOSE OF ELECTING A MAYOR FOR THE CITY OF THORNE BAY
VOTER QUALIFICATIONS:
- QUALIFIED TO VOTE IN STATE ELECTIONS.
- RESIDENT OF THE CITY 30 DAYS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE ELECTION.
- REGISTERED TO VOTE IN DISTRICT 35, PRECINCT 780, THORNE BAY 6AAC 02.126.
POLLS WILL OPEN: 7:00 A.M., November 3, 2020
POLLS WILL CLOSE: 8:00 P.M., November 3, 2020
Those Council members interested in running for the office may file a Declaration of Candidacy at City hall beginning October 13, 2020 through Friday October 16, 2020 at 12pm.
Absentee voting in person at City Hall will begin Tuesday, October 20, 2020 and continue between the hours of 9:00a.m. to 4:00p.m. Monday-Thursday and 9:00 a.m. to 12:00p.m. on Friday’s, until November 2, 2020.
Applications for absentee voting by mail will be taken beginning October 20, 2020 until October 28, 2020. The application must be signed by the applicant and show his physical place of residence in the City of Thorne Bay.
