Inter-Island Ferry Authority

IFA WILL RESUME SAILING WITH MV STAKINE

On Friday October 30th, the Inter-Island Ferry Authority (IFA) will resume operations with the M/V Stikine. We will return to our six day a week schedule, 100 passenger capacity. Please see the website for details and/or reservations. The IFA would like to acknowledge our appreciation for the AMHS and the crew of the Lituya for providing service to our communities while we completed this overhaul.

Sailings from Hollis to Ketchikan October 2020

The Alaska Marine Highway system has agreed to add sailings to provide transportation between Prince
of Wales Island and Ketchikan. The M/V Lituya will be providing 2 sailings per week. The Lituya’s vehicle
capacity is roughly 35% less than the Stikine and passenger capacity is roughly 25% less. The reduced
capacities and reduced number of sailings per week equates into less transit opportunities. If you are
able to reschedule your travel for after October 31, 2020, it will allow the IFA to make sure that all
critical transportation needs are met.

The IFA currently has a new position available for a permanent part time Accounting Clerk. Hours range between 20-25 hours per week. Job duties include data entry for daily receipts, accounts receivable, and other clerical support as assigned.
