NOTICE OF CITY COUNCIL SEAT VACANCY AND INTENT TO APPOINT
The City Council of Thorne Bay is seeking applications for appointment from citizens to fill the vacant City Council Seat B, until the next Regular Election to be held October 5, 2021. Application for appointments are due by 4pm, Thursday, June 10th.
COUNCIL MEETING-PUBLIC WELCOME
There will be a regular meeting of the City Council on Tuesday, May 18th, 2021, in the City Hall Council Chambers. The Council is allowing LIMITED public participation in person.
There will be space for a maximum of 6 public participants at the City Council meeting on Tuesday.
SPACE IS ON A FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE
Personal Protective Gear is REQUIRED!!! (Masks & Gloves)Public participants will be required to sign in and have their temperature taken prior to entering the chambers. Anyone with a temperature above normal, will not be allowed to enter.
IFA to resume daily service
On Tuesday June 1st, the Inter-Island Ferry Authority (IFA) will return to our seven day a week schedule with a 140 passenger capacity.
RFP-BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION
The City of Thorne Bay, located on the east side of Prince of Wales Island,
approximately 42 air miles from Ketchikan, is requesting proposal for the
construction of a tributary fish passage gravel and culvert bridge on North Road as
engineered by the Southeast Alaska Watershed Coalition in February 2015.
