CANVASSING MEETING NOVEMBER 6, 2020

THIS IS TO NOTIFY ANY INTERESTED PERSONS that on FRIDAY, the 6th day of November 2020, at 5:00 p.m., the Thorne Bay City Council will hold a Special Meeting to canvass all absentee, questioned and defective ballots received in the election. If the council is unable to obtain a quorum, or complete the count on Friday, after the election, the canvass will be continued the following day and each day thereafter until complete.

IFA WILL RESUME SAILING WITH MV STAKINE

On Friday October 30th, the Inter-Island Ferry Authority (IFA) will resume operations with the M/V Stikine. We will return to our six day a week schedule, 100 passenger capacity. Please see the website for details and/or reservations. The IFA would like to acknowledge our appreciation for the AMHS and the crew of the Lituya for providing service to our communities while we completed this overhaul.

Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)
The City of Thorne Bay will hold a public hearing workshops seeking input and community comments on projects for funding under the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program.
TOMORROW…..October 24th, 2020, 2pm, held in person at the Thorne Bay Fire Hall located at 110 Freeman Drive. PPE will be provided and social distancing will be required.
