The City of Thorne Bay is requesting qualifications from interested firms to provide professional Architectural and Engineering Services for the design and engineering of the new Davidson Landing Fire / EMS Hall Project. The project will be located in Thorne Bay, Alaska and is funded through a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) from the State of Alaska Department of Commerce, Community, and Economic Development Division of Community and Regional Affairs. The new facility will provide a base for Fire and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) for Southside Thorne Bay. The project will be sited on a portion of Tract A, ASLS 80-121. This site is owned by the City of Thorne Bay.

HELP WANTED – Part-time terminal agent in Ketchikan

The Inter-Island Ferry Authority is accepting applications for Permanent Part-time Terminal Agent at the Ketchikan Terminal. Duties include customer service, booking reservations, cash/credit card handling, daily reporting, assisting with vessel line handling, janitorial, security, and other duties as assigned by IFA Terminal Supervisor. Position pays $15 per hour and is 20 hours per week Thursdays through Sundays, in addition to fill-in shifts. Benefits include 4 hours vacation and sick accrued monthly, holiday pay and IFA travel.

The City of Thorne Bay (City) invites qualified candidates to submit proposals for contractual grant writing services. The City is seeking to retain qualified grant writer who can assist the City in obtaining grant funds and maximize the City’s chances in securing opportunities.
