Notice of Sale of Bay Chalet Building-RFP for Building Removal Services

The City of Thorne Bay is requesting bids for the removal of a multi-use community building, “The Bay Chalet”. Dimensions of the one-story building are 30’ x 72’. There may be a considerable amount of reusable material in this old structure, including metal siding, roofing, windows, doors, etc. Any and all furnishings and/or equipment not part of the building fixtures, such as chairs currently stored in the building, will be removed and are not part of the sale.

Request for Qualifications

The City of Thorne Bay is requesting qualifications from interested firms to provide professional Architectural and Engineering Services for the design and engineering of the new Davidson Landing Fire / EMS Hall Project. The project will be located in Thorne Bay, Alaska and is funded through a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) from the State of Alaska Department of Commerce, Community, and Economic Development Division of Community and Regional Affairs. The new facility will provide a base for Fire and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) for Southside Thorne Bay. The project will be sited on a portion of Tract A, ASLS 80-121. This site is owned by the City of Thorne Bay.

LAND LEASE AVAILABILITY – CITY PROPERTY

The City of Thorne Bay (“City”) is offering for lease commercial property located at the Thorne Bay Sort yard & Downtown Business District Subdivision.

The City intends to lease space for Commercial Use within the Downtown Business District and Mixed Commercial/Industrial Use in the Sort Yard, on an on‐going basis.

The City of Thorne Bay (City) invites qualified candidates to submit proposals for contractual grant writing services. The City is seeking to retain qualified grant writer who can assist the City in obtaining grant funds and maximize the City’s chances in securing opportunities.
